Week 95

Hey pops, glad you had a busy week! we did as well.
like father like son.

What did you talk about in church this week?  Was it about fathers? Good guess right?  I hope it was.
oh and HAPPY DIA DEL PADRE.

This week was a hoot. We had 7 attending and we have 3 baptism dates!
Danela is doing very well. she is progressing very well. she has been reading the BOM everyday and as well has cleared up many many doubts and questions.
She also had a interview with the branch president. we don't know why, but she asked to have one and she said it went well.

Paul is a new investigator. he is progressing. He wants to feel peace so he is reading and praying to know.

Anderson is doing good. he is trying to sanctify the Sabbath day, but he is having trouble talking to his boss to let him have Sundays off.

We are doing very good here, the district is okay but we are having trouble retaining people. so. um. yeah. that sucks. Could you give me some advice on retaining investigators?

Well. transfers came. and well my comp is still with me and we are getting some new elders here. but other that that all is well in Zion.

Had a very good week, its been a grand one. We are going to continue with it until we help these people come unto Christ.

Love you dad. Have a great week.

Send love to all.

Week 93

Well this week on Sunday it was my birthday.
We celebrated it like last year.
FASTING
But no it was great!  We found a great family though a less active! They really liked that they can be an eternal family! It's so great!

This week our recent convert got the Aaronic priesthood! He is now playing the piano in church!

This week I was thinking about Prayer. and the purpose it has.
I used to think that prayer was just something we do in routine and all. And in the mission sometimes we fall into it. It sucks.
So this week i have been trying to pray not only asking, but for giving thanks for all we have.

As well during fast Sunday I had a really great experience. During the sacrament, my mind came to a scripture in John 14: 27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
And it hit me that he gives me this peace, but only if I reach out to him.

It was a good week. We worked real hard. I can say now I'm really really really tired everyday. I wake up at 5:30 ready to go a lot haha.

Have a great week all ya.

With love

Week 92- Flat Out Miracle

Hey everyone!

So this week, was a flat out miracle. Last Sunday we found a family though a Recent Convert, and in that lesson was a young man named Anderson. We told him we were going to come back Wednesday, so Wednesday morning we were about to call him when he called to confirm if we were going to visit. We went to his house and he told us he read the Restoration pamphlet and said ´´I never thought about asking God what church was true. I always wanted to know but couldn’t find out.´´ He said that he was like Joseph Smith, and he wanted to know what church was true. We have taught him 3 lessons and he attended a sacrament meeting. He has accepted baptism and will be baptized in June. He also said, ´´you said the church has been restored, and you two go out in two and two like the apostles, it’s like you are like them. I want to be like them. All my life I wanted to help others and I see you guys. I want to be like you and help others.´´

I felt like I should share a scripture with him that I marked awhile back. in Mosiah 28: 3 that says: Now they were desirous that salvation should be declared to every creature, for they could not bear that any human soul should perish; yea, even the very thoughts that any soul should endure endless torment did cause them to quake and tremble.

He then said ´´ that’s how I feel. How did you know?´´
What I have realized this week is that it is so key  to have the spirit. If we have the spirit we will know what to share and when to share it.
I have felt the missionary spirit all this week, ever so last night, while I was taking out dates(receiving the stats) of district. We have had lots of problems helping people come to church. And my companion and I all day yesterday were thinking of what to do. We figured it out though.
I have never really thought I would be worrying about all these other people and not myself. It's weird. But I get that scripture now…
It's going to be a better week. So grateful for the Lord and his great plan of happiness that all nations can hear of the glad tidings of the restored gospel.

Love you all.
