Week 83 - Staying in Palmira

Well what can I say, great week!
I loved the fotos you sent and all, super great!

ha-ha Jarrett doesn't like getting up.. he is a real teenager then.
..
This week we found lots of new people and had a baptism of Marta. what whattt!
Jorge will be baptized on the 9th of April after a interview with President Pricoli!
Marta invited her daughter and daughter's boyfriend to the ordnance. And well, we are going to teach them.
The boyfriend Jario, is really interested and loves how we are focusing on the family. So yeah, super happy!

All is well.
Transfers came early.  Elder Altamirano se fue.(left) and Elder Prieto, my father, trainer, is coming to the district... so yeah... fun fun.....
...
We found this really great couple named Mayra and Gustavo. They had a really special experience this week.
When we finished the lesson , we had a prayer on our knees and Gustavo said it.
The day we went back to visit them, Mayra told us that day Gustavo was thinking about dropping us, but when he prayed, he felt super good, and he has been praying on his knees since.
so... all is well.

I testify that the spirit gets to the hearts of men, whatever way possible. He knows us, and for that he sends the holy ghost to guide us and comfort us, and well to testify that Jesus is the Christ.

I love you family.
I love Palmira, glad I'll be here for another transfer. I really think I'm building testimony here. Like, alot. haha.

Love yah.

Tell grandpa and grandma and Naunie and Allison and Austin and Dallas and Iris and all the rest of this familyyyyy, that I love and miss them.
I'm glad I have a family that loves me and makes me happy.
...
This week we had District Conference!
It was amazing, we had Jorge and Marta assist(attend) and it was just what they needed. They will be baptized on the 26 at 10 to 1030. it will be great.
In the district conference we had many great talks from a youth in our ward, to the Mission President Pricoli and his wife.
Half of the talks were about the Sabbath day and it really really helped out a few of the investigators in the district.
The other elders will also have a baptism this 26th. ALELUYA.(Hallelujah)

Also the Arse Family has started having family prayer. PROGRESS. We shared our experiences about family prayer and I talked about us when we had our family prayer. It help them a lot. we verified how it went and they say there are not as many fights and they feel the spirit a lot. Super stoked to talk to them today.
...
Oh have not received the packet yet.
As well, I am waiting for my new missionary name tag.

Week 81

Glad all is well for you, and you had a good week.

We had a good week.

Marta had a dream about the church. She said her date is set for the 26th at 4. Bad news is that we have to do it in the morning... :D HAHA.

Jorge is doing well. We have talked a lot about how God revels to us though the Holy Ghost and we can know all things though him.

They are both excited for district conference and General Conference.
We are also reactivating the family of Jorge. They are coming to us. Not us to them. It’s great to see miracles and all.

Dad, I love the pictures you sent from San Francisco.  I see Jarrett likes his Nikes and skinny jeans. I love mom’s foto. I just missed your foto, you weren’t in any, haha.
I love you guys so much.

Remember that this happiness we have is forever, and no matter what comes at us, we need to be faithful, holding to the rod and we will get there together. Love you guys.

Your son

PS. tell Jarrett to shave haha.

Week 80 - Advice to Dad

Hey dad. Like you have told me many many many times, we all have tough weeks. But the thing is that we need to endure.

I'm glad Jarrett is happy that there is no school. It's good to take a step back and relax sometimes. You should do it also Pops.

Glad you shared your testimony on Sunday. What I have learned is every time we share it, we build ours up.

A member in our branch gave his testimony, and there is a part I would like to share with you.
`` Remember who we are. We are sons of God. We are literally his sons. And he went through what we go through. We have the potential to be like Him and equal as Him. Never forget we have divine potential.``

Hope all is well Dad, I know things are tough, but realize that is the point in life, to be tested and to receive His glory.

This week we had 3 investigators come to church and 2 have a baptism date. They are both ready, but still have things here and there that could hold back their baptism. But then again that's just to help them build their testimony in the Gospel.

We all have troubles here and there, but it's to help us. I always think of the scripture that is in éter 12: 6  ``Y ahora yo, Moroni, quisiera hablar algo concerniente a estas cosas. Quisiera mostrar al mundo que la fe es las cosas que se esperan y no se ven; por tanto, no contendáis porque no veis, porque no recibís ningún testimonio sino hasta después de la prueba de vuestra fe``

6 And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.

We grow from the experiences. It's great to know that, and I'm glad to be tried and tested. It helps me improve.

On another note, are you reading your scriptures?  Saying all your prayers? Is mom doing the same? This is called verification. I do it to my district and investigators all the time. Haha. I'm practicing with you because I love you and miss you.

Always ask mom for help when needed. I have learned mothers give good advice.

Love you dad. Know that I do and that Heavenly Father loves you too.

Your son, Dallin.
